Who the hell drywalls like this
We knew stained glass windows were common in Chicago bungalows. Some time last month, while we were outside, we noticed (much to our suprise) we had one of these windows. Since we are still in the process of stripping the 80 years of shellac off the red oak window trim, baseboards and corner moldings, we decided to punch a hole in the drywall.
Sonofabitch. Looks like an original 1920s stained glass window to me. It’s still framed in red oak, too.
